SECOND DRAFT · 2025 · BASED ON REAL PLATFORMS
FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY
FADE IN:
INT. CONFERENCE ROOM — DAY
Four chairs around a table. A MODERATOR stands at the head. One by one, the candidates enter. Each believes they are the answer to the same question: "How should a professional build their career in 2025?"
The door opens. LINKEDIN enters first — tall, polished, carrying a briefcase that seems to contain everything.
LINKEDIN
(sitting down, adjusting cufflinks)
One billion people know my name. Two hundred countries. I am the profile, the job board, the sales engine, the classroom, and the newsroom. I do eight hires per minute. My revenue exceeds fifteen billion dollars. I am, respectfully, the only one you need.

Director's Note
The lead. Most screen time, most lines, most range. But the content monologue is getting muddied by AI-generated dialogue, and the premium scenes cost more every season. Still the role every actor wants.
SCRIPT NOTES — LINKEDIN
- Content dialogue increasingly AI-generated
- Algorithm gives more lines to daily performers
- Premium scenes $29.99–$99.99+/mo
- Organic screen time declining for ensemble roles
- Performance data shared with Microsoft Studios
CUT TO:
INT. CONFERENCE ROOM — CONTINUOUS
The second chair scrapes. INDEED drops into it — no briefcase, no small talk, already scanning the room for the exit.
INDEED
(leaning forward, fast)
Three hundred fifty million people come to me every month. I don't network. I don't post. I don't learn. I find jobs. That's it. Glassdoor's in the car — she'll tell you the salary, the reviews, the interview questions. Everything the suit over there won't.
INDEED glances at LINKEDIN. LINKEDIN adjusts his tie.

Director's Note
The scene-stealer. Fewest lines, biggest impact. Gets in, delivers, gets out. Glassdoor is the supporting role that makes it work. Zero character development — pure plot advancement.
SCRIPT NOTES — INDEED
- Zero character development or social arc
- Glassdoor's data may need a rewrite
- Sponsored dialogue may slow the scene
- No third act — exits after the job is found
- Audience data visible to paying studios
CUT TO:
INT. CONFERENCE ROOM — CONTINUOUS
WELLFOUND enters quietly through a side door nobody else noticed. Purple hoodie. Laptop open. Already showing a spreadsheet.
WELLFOUND
(turning the laptop to face the room)
Eight million people trust me because I show them something nobody else will — the salary and the equity, right on the screen. One hundred fifty thousand startups. Direct message to the founder. No corporate roles, no apologies. If you want the truth about compensation, I'm the only one at this table who'll say it out loud.
LINKEDIN shifts uncomfortably.

Director's Note
The indie darling. Small role, but the only character who says what everyone else is thinking. The transparency scene is the most quotable moment in the film. Doesn't appear in the mainstream cut.
SCRIPT NOTES — WELLFOUND
- Only appears in the startup cut
- Smaller audience than lead or scene-stealer
- Some dialogue from unverified early sources
- Not credited in the mainstream release
- Character arc still in development
CUT TO:
EXT. CONFERENCE ROOM — SAME TIME
The fourth candidate never came inside. MEETUP is outside, on a park bench, sitting next to a stranger. LUNCHCLUB introduced them forty seconds ago. They're already laughing.
The MODERATOR opens the window and leans out.
MODERATOR
Aren't you coming in?
MEETUP
(not looking up, smiling)
Fifty-two million people across a hundred and ninety countries. Two million gatherings a year. And an AI that just introduced me to someone who might change my life.
(beat)
No. I'm not coming in. The conference room is the script. This bench is the movie.
A long pause. Inside, LINKEDIN, INDEED, and WELLFOUND look at each other. Through the window, they can see two people on a bench, talking. The camera slowly pulls back.

Director's Note
The heart of the film. The only character who refuses to enter the frame. The final shot — two people on a bench, seen through a window by three platforms who thought the answer was inside the room. It wasn't. It was always outside.
SCRIPT NOTES — MEETUP
- No employment scenes in the script
- Requires location shooting (physical attendance)
- Set rental $20+/mo for organizers
- AI casting accuracy varies by location
- Geographic limitations on filming locations
